Shelta was born out of necessity in Carlsbad, California, created by outdoor athletes who were tired of traditional sun hats failing them in active environments. Frustrated by flimsy boonie hats that would flop down into their eyes during heavy winds or sag heavily when wet, the founders set out to engineer the world’s ultimate technical headwear.
