Fishpond Nomad End Cap

Shield the most vulnerable point of your composite landing net and maximize its lifespan with the rugged Fishpond Nomad® Net End Cap. Specifically engineered to deliver a precise, universal fit across every single model in the premium carbon fiber and fiberglass Nomad Net Series, this molded rubber accessory targets the base of the handle where heavy scraping, impacts, and daily wear show up first. Constructed from a high-density, weather-resistant rubber compound, it acts as a tough shock-absorber that cushions your gear when set down on hard surfaces. The specialized design features an integrated ribbed bottom that adds a secondary layer of structural reinforcement while boosting your grip when using the net handle as a balancing staff. Upgrade your gear configuration with a simple, high-durability solution that keeps your high-performance net looking and performing like new.

• Rocky Mountain Granite Scrambling & Freezing Substrate Defense: Landing wild trout on technical Wyoming waters—such as wading the rocky canyon slots of the Shoshone River or hiking the granite boulder fields of the upper North Platte—means your net handle takes a constant beating. Anglers frequently drop their net handles directly onto jagged riverbeds or wedge them into sharp rock crevices to keep their hands free for unhooking fish. Over time, this abrasive granite grid can chip or compromise composite handles. Sliding this Nomad End Cap onto your net provides an unyielding, bounce-free rubber barrier that completely absorbs these impacts. Furthermore, during freezing winter midge hatches around Casper, the thick rubber shield keeps the composite handle base from freezing directly to ice-crusted banks, preventing micro-fractures from sub-zero shock.
