Grey Reef, Miracle Mile, and Fremont Canyon Fishing Report 07/29/2024
The Grey Reef:
Flows have bumped back up to 3,400 CFS. If you are going to wade, we urge you to proceed with caution as these flows are high. That said, things are fishing well from the drift boat- especially the upper most section below the dam. PMD's, Yellow Sallies, and Caddis are the go-to patterns at this time.
The Miracle Mile:
Flows have been sitting at a steady 2,600 CFS. If you are looking to wade, the Mile may be the best bet- be mindful of these though as the water is still moving quick. We are pleased with how the Mile is fishing from the drift boat. Caddis and some PMDs are coming off pretty strong on this section. Outside of that, we have been finding some luck on Pat's Rubber Legs and Zirdle bugs following the Golden Stone hatch.
Fremont Canyon:
Flows are high for the canyon, moving around 2,800 CFS. This is much higher than the normal 80 CFS, but flows have sat here for quite some time now. Focus on the deeper pools and tail outs on this section. Caddis and PMDs should do the trick. Worms and leeches are fishing on this section as well.
