Was an absolute pleasure and we can’t wait to do it again. Ten ladies, from all over, came to elevate their knowledge of fly fishing- and they did just that!
Entomology
Night one brought tons of questions and hands-on learning through the best-lead entomology course around. We inspected bugs fresh out of the river and identified life cycles. Seriously, Blake teaches such a cool course and we can’t wait to open them to the public. Stay tuned for more info on future entomology courses and available dates.
Wade Fishing Tactics
Day two promised private ranch access on the famous North Platte River. The ladies learned how to approach the river- covering everything from wade fishing safety to the subtleties of creating the perfect drift. Reverting back to entomology, these gals knew which flies to select based off of their new knowledge on life cycles and hatches. 
It truly was a pleasure watching the gears turn and see how well they applied the classroom learning to wade fishing success.
Full Day Guided from a Drift Boat
Finally, these women took to the boat with professional fly fishing guides for an epic day on the water. Showing off their casting skills and aquatic life knowledge, the guides keyed in on their excitement and helped create an amazing experience.
Honestly, the shop has never received so many compliments from the guide staff. They too are proud of these women and this program. We truly have something special in Ugly Bugs and Crazy Ladies!
