THUNDERHEAD HD CHEST PACK

Strip away the unnecessary bulk and protect your absolute essential gear from the elements with the minimalist Fishpond Thunderhead® HD Chest Pack. Designed for tactical anglers who favor a clean, high-speed approach to the river, this ultra-durable 4L (244 cu in) chest pack keeps your core fly boxes, terminal tackle, and electronics bone-dry and within immediate reach. The main compartment is fully submersible and equipped with a heavy-duty, waterproof TIZIP® closure. Its rugged exterior is built from a TPU-laminated, 100% recycled 1000D high-tenacity polyester ripstop shell accented with corrosion-proof aluminum hardware. The horizontal profile distributes weight evenly across your chest, while the low-profile molded back panel features an integrated net slot and attachment ring to keep your landing net secure. Complete with stretch mesh organization pockets, built-in Hypalon attachment points for retractors or bear spray, and seamless modular integration with compatible Fishpond backpacks, this pack delivers total protection without getting in the way of your casting stroke.

• Rocky Mountain Deep-Wading & Extreme Dust Security: Wading the powerful, waist-deep tailwater slots of Wyoming rivers—like the Miracle Mile or the canyon stretches of the Shoshone—presents a constant threat of taking an unexpected swim. Standard zippered canvas or nylon packs will instantly absorb water, soaking your expensive fly boxes and ruining your car keys or phone. The Thunderhead HD's fully submersible TIZIP® system provides absolute, airtight peace of mind, allowing you to wade deep with complete confidence. Furthermore, when navigating the dry, unpaved backcountry roads to remote access points, Wyoming's relentless winds kick up incredibly abrasive, fine alkali dust. While fine silt will quickly destroy standard zippers and contaminate your internal gear, the seamless, welded TPU-laminated shell keeps fine dust and grit completely locked outside your pack.
