THUNDERHEAD HD LUMBAR PACK

Conquer the harshest river elements and keep your expensive electronics, fly boxes, and lunch bone-dry with the unyielding Fishpond Thunderhead® HD Lumbar Pack. Positioned at your hip where deep crossings or unexpected steps can put your gear underwater instantly, this fully submersible 9L (549 cu in) pack provides absolute airtight protection. Built from a heavy-duty, TPU-laminated, 100% recycled 1000D high-tenacity polyester ripstop shell and sealed with a master-grade waterproof TIZIP® closure, it completely repels moisture, mud, and dust. The comfortable molded back panel features an integrated net slot to secure your landing net, while the removable lumbar strap allows the pack to mount directly to a wading belt or function as a streamlined boat bag. Complete with a padded shoulder strap, built-in plier sheath, tippet holder attachment points, and a removable floating interior pocket, it seamlessly integrates with specialized water bottle and bear spray holders for ultimate range on the water.

• Rocky Mountain Deep Wading & Alkaline Dust Defense: When wading deep, unstable riverbeds on technical Wyoming waters—like the Miracle Mile or the rushing canyon stretches of the Shoshone River—your waist pack is constantly exposed to the current. Standard zippered nylon hip packs will immediately flood, ruining fly boxes and expensive cameras. The Thunderhead HD Lumbar's airtight TIZIP® system ensures your gear stays perfectly dry even during deep, waist-high river crossings. Furthermore, when traveling down the unpaved, blustery dirt roads to regional access points, Wyoming's relentless winds kick up fine, highly abrasive alkali dust. While this micro-grit quickly jams standard zippers and grinds down internal gear, the seamless, welded TPU shell and sealed track keep dust completely locked outside, protecting your equipment from the elements.
