We fished with Ryan on the third day of the 2025 Grey Reef flush. The morning started off slow, but once the water stabilized at around 500 CFS, the action picked up, and we began hooking fish. Ryan was an outstanding guide—highly knowledgeable, incredibly patient, and skilled at putting us on fish. He helped us land several impressive rainbows, including an exciting double hookup. To top it off, he provided a delicious riverside lunch. It was an unforgettable day filled with great fishing and lasting memories—highly recommend!"

First time on the North Platte. Spent 2 days floating with Ryan the guide. Very well organized guide service, met at crazy rainbow to check in. Launched from Ugly Bugs private boat ramps. Check in, launch, lunch, takeout logistics were well organized. Ryan & all the other guides were outstanding, knew the river well, very knowledgeable about the area and overall fishery. Ryan took his time to understand what we wanted to do each day and how we wanted to fish and then tailored the day to our requests and always went a little bit extra to get us on fish! Great guide, great guide service and I’ll be back with my fishing buddies for sure.

The North Platte is the absolute bomb when it comes to fly-fishing destinations. Amazing family vacation! Our Ugly Bug guides Devin, Kody, and Fish were great! We caught a lot of 20" plus both days. Our 11 year old daughter caught a 22" with Devin and husband caught a 23" with Kody. Laurie was an awesome host at the Crazy Rainbow Lodge. Cici helped us plan everything perfectly! Friendliest and most knowledgeable bunch of folks around. Unlike several fly shops I’ve been to, they don’t treat you any differently or speak condescendingly because you happen to have a set of sweater yams.
