CRAZY CHARLIE

Crazy Charlies are designed that ride hook up with a wing covering the hook point. Chances are, if your guide asks what you have tied on and it's not a Charlie, he'll bite it off and tie on a Charlie or some form thereof. Don't go bone fishing without a box of Charlies.
FLEXO SAND CRAB

A crab pattern that can be employed to catch permit as well as bonefish, triggerfish, bluefin trevally and even bumphead parrotfish. Crabs are almost impossible to imitate with any real degree of subtlety, but this fly uses a left-field approach. Throw it into the salty water and you'll see what we mean – the fly is almost perfectly camouflaged, as the seabed shows right through it. We've read that permit and other tough cookies like big, spooky bonefish and bluefin trevally fall regularly for this fly because they lose sight of it and then, when they do see it, they fear that it will disappear again, and rush into eating it. Believe me, it is deadly. We offer them in a variety of sizes and shades, all tied on the unbeatable Tiemco 811s which is more than capable of landing any of the above, although, if it is the Triggers you are after, take spares as they will munch through just about anything given enough time.
LEX'S POP UP CRAB TAN 2/0

Of the myriad crab patterns that I have designed and that have been fished successfully, the “POP-UP CRAB” is arguably my best creation to-date. Done in the Del Brown Merkin Crab style and using H2O Fishient Sculpting Fibers as the body components, which in this designer’s opinion are by far the best materials for tying this style of crab and are also available in a superior color array. The three colors offered very effectively cover the complete global flats bottom color spectrum over which this pattern is to be fished and which also mimic the naturals subtle color variations (crab sub-species) which inhabit these specific venues.
